Deputy

Provides charge and custody of the Adult Detention facility. Increased pay scale and $3,500 bonus opportunity over 2 years.

We now offer lateral pay up to 11 years of experience.

Deputy position starts out making $27.49-$42.86/hr

Correctional Specialist $19.15

Start your career in law enforcement at 18 years of age. Same responsibilities as a detention deputy and ability to move to deputy at the age of 21.

Juvenile Intake Assessment Specialist (JIAC) $27.28 hr.

Process Juveniles detained by law enforcement or who need placement.

Court Security Officer (Armed) Starting $20.60-$26.94/hr

Responsible for providing security to the UG buildings, employees and citizens.

Juvenile Detention Officer $21.23/hr

Direct supervision of juvenile offenders detained in detention.

Clerk- Sheriff's Office/Records $19.06/hr

Performs a variety of public facing customer service duties, data entry and routine clerical duties.

Classification Technician $19.79/hr

Responsible for the appropriate classification of inmates booked into the Wyandotte County Detention Center.
