Nick strives to make Pettis County the best place to get an education, work and raise a family. Nick is a lifelong resident of Pettis County where he grew up with his siblings and his mother. He learned early on from his mother, Becca, the value of hard work. Becca has been the owner and operator of Becca’s Framing in Sedalia for the past 30 years. He graduated from Smith-Cotton High School and went on to earn his dual Bachelor’s degrees from Missouri Valley College in Science of Human Service Agency Management and Science of Recreation Administration. He was the President of the Pettis County Young Republicans Club, Vice-President of Missouri Young Republicans and President of T.A.R.G.E.T Club. Nick lives in Sedalia with his two daughters, Sophia and Olivia. Nick was elected as Pettis County Clerk/Election Authority and conducts business from the Pettis County Courthouse. He is responsible for keeping all the counties historical records, prepares the County Financial Statement, works with the political subdivisions to establish their current tax levies, and serves as Secretary for the Board of Equalization. Nick’s duties also include elections, candidate certification and filings, running polling locations and training election workers. Nick must maintain the voter registration data base including address changes, cancellations, deceased and convicted felons. While working and raising his children, Nick went to the Election Center through Auburn University and became Certified Election/Registration Administrator (CERA) Certified with a Master’s Certificate. Nick has also been elected as a Trustee to State Fair Community College. Nick is active in Pettis County community. He has participated in a Boys and Girls Club Softball Tournament, Alzheimer’s Association, Child-Safe and the Missouri State Fair Foundation to name a few. He has implemented voter registration drives at every high school in Pettis County. Nick helps out with Meals-On-Wheels deliveries. Nick has volunteered multiple years for Pettis County Relay For Life cancer walk, to name just a few.
