Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S) is a movement that seeks to bring justice and awareness to the many missing indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people. Native women are 1.7x more likely to experience violence than white women (NCAI, 2018) and are murdered at 10x the rate as any other ethnicity (Native Womens Wilderness, 2021). Below is a list of resources that include action items that can help combat these discrepancies, resources to learn more about these issues, and Indigenous businesses to support. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list and it is meant as a starting point. There is always more to learn.
