Four Track Nights now offers a space to support experimental audio artists in collaborating and creating immersive hybrid virtual performances combined with experimental visual and lumia works in this unique curatorial meta project. 4TN - Speculum Bunny - Burnt Offering

Clare Simpson AKA Speculum Bunny brings a darker more viceral set blending words and sound to provoke, enthral and mystify her audience. Inspired by the depraved nature of love in all of its majestic forms, her childhood, masochism and devotion. Speculum Bunny challenges mainstream narratives on motherhood and women’s expression she blends noise, synths, voices and field recordings.

JP Waksman - First Steps

This month on 4TN we have JP Waksman, a music composer, producer and sound-designer living in Scotland. In this session we are fortunate enough to present JP's first steps into live electronica. JP, a highly trained classically instrumentalist with a deep love for sampling and electronic beats, has crafted a distinct and emotive sound that has graced stages worldwide and attracted commissions from numerous event agencies and media production companies.

Thon - Dread

THON is a live electronic dark ambient/drone project with multiple VHS screens and visuals. Combining a creeping sense of horror and dread delivered through the medium of live hardware and static televisions. THON comes from the extreme metal world with decades of experiences and now expresses them in an aural/visual format.

My Fiend - Acetone Chamber

While joining the previous session guest Digital Disaster, My Fiend popped in for a session. Keith Duncan is a sound designer, engineer & musician from Edinburgh, Scotland. Keith loves to explore different styles of sound, from electronica to acoustic music and vocal harmonies; conjuring up tribal melodies from other worlds.

The Cabinet Noir - Volume IV: Squared

As strainge an illusive as their French namesake The Cabinet Noir have little to no social media or links except from a single post on Instagram in fact the only way you can find them is via sporadic live performances and here on Four Track Nights. Decribed as a collection of planned and spontaneous sounds masquerading as a band.

Urgula - Sci-fi

John is a Techno producer and live performer based in Glasgow. He runs Noisebox the first monthly EMOM night at Bloc+ in Glasgow and the label Subplant records. Regularly performing live, Urgula uses hardware synths and modular and has releases on a number of labels Including, Berlins Flash recordings, Chicagos Format Rec and Funk D’voids Breakthru and recently released an Album “Caustic Manifesto” on Glasgow’s Bricolage records.

The Lost Past Society

A follower of 4TN for quite a while now, John of The Lost Past Society contacted me as he has broken out of his studio chrysalis and started a run of live sets. Now having played at Wavetable and Attack/Release its a great pleasure to host the Tales of Whitehill Tower session on Four Track Nights. Although a musician in his own right Johns experimental journey really took off ( like many of us ) during the lockdown era and I think you'll agree this sounds fantastic.

LxKi - Noise

All Four Track Nights sessions are special, but some just work out right. When Lukasz Kaminski of Lz.Ki turned up with guitars ( yes plural!) amps, custom instuments and all sorts of electronica I was sure something would go amiss. However, I couldn't have asked for a smoother set. We're heading into the cooler darker months, so let this immersive experimental set take you on a darkly dreamy audio journey.

Aleks Wruk - The Sound Priestess

Aleksandra Wruk is Glasgow based Sound Priestess, multi-instrumental artis, gong master and a certified sound therapist. They create dreamy auditory experiences that take the audience into a deeply relaxing state. This performance is a mixture of meditative soundscapes, spoken word and witchy ambientes. Through the sound of a mighty gong, electronic effects, and vocals you will be take on a mystic journey to the other side of consciousness.

Digital Disaster - Improv

This month on Four Track Nights we have a heavier session to help beat the summer heat. Edinburgh based artist Johnny Jay AKA Digital Disaster/Forever Alien a brings a fast paced set featuring a mixture of modular synth, drum machines and FX kit to create this improvised delight for your ears.

Jamp - Paisley Loops

This eclectic due hail from the Kingdom of Fife, Scotland. Jaatak Mulk & Hudiv Ahken fuse modular synths with tape loops and archive recordings Jamp produce folk inspired, electronic soundscapes to delight the ears.

Ty Lumnus - 4TN

This exclusive session kindly created by Ty Lumnus a Glasgow based modular synth artist and producer. Host of Attack/Release Glasgow Ty Lumnus creates futuristic soundcapes using modular drums and synth FX and releases regular works on a series of labels.

Ryan Denham Session - The Human Animal

Performed at the Phispace, Lofi Gallery in Paisley. Rural Acoustics & Digital Experimental - Artists

We are looking to gather information on the landscape and experiences of experimental audio and digital video artists within the UK. This project has a specific focus on artists who create experimental audio works, digital or analogue and digital visual artists who may also create experiemental audio works but also create visuals for these works and similar. We are particularly interested in hearing from artists from rural or non metropolitan areas such as major cities.
